Ok, so I played starcraft for the first 3 hours of the jam session, so what! It’s preparation.
Concept:
A “SHUMP” where you must deliver supplies to villages via air drop, while possibly avoiding hazards.
Anyways, a list of things Im going to be using:
- Inkscape for vector art
- Flashdevelop + Flashpunk for programming
- SFXR + Musagi for sound effects and music
- Kongregate for hosting
Little goals for myself:
- Day 1:
- First 2 hours, Movement of plane, dropping, accuracy detection 10am-12pm
- 2nd 2 Hours, Draft images of plane, parachute, and scenery 12pm-2pm
- Next 2 Hours, UI mocked up and implemented 2pm-4pm
- Next 2 hours, Polish for art assets. 6pm – 8pm
- Last 2 hours, Music + SFX1 8pm – 10pm (possibly later)
- Day 2:
- First 2 hours, Finalize art assets. 11am – 1pm2
- 2nd 2 hours, Finalize mechanics of game. 1pm – 3pm
- Next 2 Hours, Finalize UI. 5pm – 7pm
- Penultimate 2 hours, add Kongregate API/Scoring 7pm – 9pm
- Finale : Bug testing 9pm – ??
So thats a little under 40 hours planned, with around 20 hours of actual work.
GLHF??
