Moving on…
It’s been a long time since I played Desktop Dungeons or DoomRL but THEY ARE SOO ADDICTIVE.
Especially doom, once you have a grasp of the game, it’s so easy to just sink <20mins on a game.
Desktop Dungeons is a tiny roguelike that takes place on 1 screen and controls are entirely mouse based2. Gameplay is very similiar to regular roguelikes in that you move into enemies to kill them, though there is a very limited inventory system that works REALLY WELL. You have HP potions and MP potions that restore HP and MP respectively (scaled with your level). You can carry 3 “runes” which are basically your casting spells, these also increase in strenghth as you level up. If you dislike a particular skill, you can simply “eat” it and give your stats (Strength, evasion) a bonus. Bleh, I’ll link you over here before I do more harm than good.
DoomRL. Don’t let it’s discombobulating GUI discombobulate you. It’s controls are alot simplier than your average dwarf fortress3 with only movement keys, shoot and inventory/equiptment4. It may not seem like doom at first, but it really is just as addictive. Words don’t do this game enough justice5, give it half an hour before making any judgements and you’ll be surprised! I would write up a short story, but it’s been to long since I played, maybe next post =D
Speaking of which, I promise I’ll make a post tomorrow. I’ve just been busy catching up on work and dreading the 21st (which I won’t have to anymore!)

Now another friend of mine made a post on overworking. I’m here to talk about the opposite.
After some disheartening events I started procrastonating like crazy never doing any work when I didn’t absolutely had to. I was in this state for over a week and I can tell you it gets worse and worse. The key thing to do is to make sure you do at least one thing on you checklist (mental or otherwise) a day. Even this little bit of…work can help snowball your good working habits. The consequences of not doing anything is actually getting more tired and even less motivated. Dangerous no?
To get out of this retarded cycle do something small on your checklist and listen to some intense music, it works!
Wikipedia is notorious for it’s ability to suck you in for hours at a time reading crazy articles, tonight was no different.
I happened to be reading questionable content and there was a link to the Tank Man which lead to the Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century which in turn lead to Project Chanology and seeing as I didn’t really know what scientology was, I investigated. Boom, there goes a large chunk of my evening…
Sorry for the lack of posts over the weekend, I had absolutely NO TIME. Any downtime was spend sleeping

I’ve decided to start migrating to yagerx.wordpress.com now, for the next week or so, I’ll be running both sites in parallel, then running a domain re-direct to yagerx.wordpress.com so that transition will go as smoothly as possible. I’ll be using dropbox to host my junk1 and will be finally using adsense and analytics on the “new” site. I’ll probably start redirecting on the 1st of June so everthing will be all cookies and roses =D
I played a rad strategy game yesterday. It was called pixel legions. Trust me, it’s pretty rad.
