Things seem pretty bleak for this blog, with under 100 hits a week, averaging 70 this week, it brings a yearly total to around 3.5K views, if I keep posting. I’m also getting 0 ad income. What with adblock and other similiar plugins, I’m not even getting impressions which I don’t really mind, since profit isn’t exactly the goal of this blog.
I am worried about readership a little…

It would be wonderful if the  9-20 irregular and the 3 or so regular readers comment. Things just seem a little empty without feedback, but I do know you’re there!

I would like to thank my few RSS subscribers¹ for continuing to read, but I would also like to ask you to visit the website every so often, it does change semi-frequently

Ads and You. As I’ve said, I’ve tried running ads on the website as minimally as possible (just one in the sidebar), but at the end of the month, I may and try adding them to  the bottom of each post That sounds like a horrible idea, I’m keeping with the one text only ad on the page, though I ask you to please disable adblock here =D It’s only 1 and it’s very unobtrusive :3

TL;DR: Please tell your friends about mah blog if you like it, and disable ad-block plus =D (there’s only 1 text ad on the sidebar)

Recently I’ve slowed down on the amount of podcasts I listen to, mainly because I stopped listening to them regularly before bed. So, I had to prune off some of the ones I don’t really like/listen to anymore and strangely enough, only two remained.

The Giant Bomb’s “Bombcast” and John Piper’s ‘Ask Pastor John’.

Yup, two quite contrasting podcasts in terms if content, but both are thoughroughly enjoyable. Notably missing is Garnett Lee’s “Weekend Confirmed“. I used to love 1up-yours for their indepth analysis of the gaming scene, but after moving away from 1up, the podcast seemed to loose it’s fun … “atmosphere” so that’s why I jumped onto the Bombcast, crazy dudes talking about video games.

Other happenings include a man, a plan, a canal… I’m going to be participating in the annual 40hr famine¹ to raise funds for starving children. To raise funds, I hope to make a game in 40 hours, possibly raise some donations before (with 100% going to world vision) and put it up for a week on the usual portals² and put all the proceeds to world vision. Though I do plan on taking (any) profits after the first week since my hosting is about to renew and it’s going to cost about $120 USD this year without the special offer…

I took the test here and I found that I am Deuteranomaly under anomalous trichromatic =D
It means that:

Have a mutated form of the medium-wavelength (green) pigment. The medium-wavelength pigment is shifted towards the red end of the spectrum resulting in a reduction in sensitivity to the green area of the spectrum. Unlike protanomaly the intensity of colors is unchanged. This is the most common form of color blindness, making up about 6% of the male population. The deuteranomalous person is considered “green weak”. For example, in the evening, dark green cars appear to be black to Deuteranomalous people. Similar to the protanomates, deuteranomates are poor at discriminating small differences in hues in the red, orange, yellow, green region of the spectrum. They make errors in the naming of hues in this region because the hues appear somewhat shifted towards red. One very important difference between deuteranomalous individuals and protanomalous individuals is deuteranomalous individuals do not have the loss of “brightness” problem. So basically reds, oranges, and greens seem skewed and I have difficulty distinguishing between them =D

No, not trucks. If you’re reading this, then you’re likely to be on my blog, which means you’ll’ve seen the change already.
It may just be a stubtle 200px increase in width, but hopefully, it’ll mean that I can post all my flash projects here without hacking the wp theme =D The only worry I have is that this change will alienate those on low-res screens, specifically 1024×786…Oh well…

I know, I know it’s almost been a month since my last post. But I did have to celebrate the month of april (and my birthday) for which I was going to make a warioware clone, but it turned out lame as usual. Expect it to go up on labs later!

ANYWAYS, that’s beyond the point I’m here to talk this little gem:

Yup, I got invited to the beta.

And it’s Oh so rad. So far I’ve only played my placement matches and 1 other match. I’ve lost 3/6 which is okay and have been placed into silver league.

The UI is gorgeous, though I had trouble finding where the matchmaking button was (I’m a little used to things like that not being big and well designed).
